I was born in Hawaii in 1968; I always loved watching fire performers. Strange hobby to play with fire but it became a labor of love and way to transform some difficulties in my life after 2008. I became a fire performer with Utah Burningman fire conclave. We performed in Renaissance fairs and Fantasy Con but by far the greatest shows we did were the Ice Castles. I developed a love for finding photographers who would take pictures of us performing.
I called up Ryan in nov of 2013 asking if we could do a photoshoot at the ice castles, he asked me to pay $800 an hour, I said im an artist and I asked if we could perform in exchange for the photoshoot instead. I called up my fire friends from burningman conclave and I had made friends with Troy Gonzalez who turned out to be the best double staff and fire breathers ever! Brent & Ryan tested us out and we had an epic year plus an amazing photoshoot. In the end they paid us and asked us to come back year after year.
Due to personal reasons and caring for my kids I passed the baton onto Troy who had co managed with me since the beginning. Although I miss performing now that I live in California; I am happy Troy has done such an amazing job continuing the shows!
